AGENDA
Presentation: Planning your Red Hat Enterprise Linux journey
Managing and maintaining Red Hat Enterprise Linux can pose challenges, especially without a clear upgrade plan. Old versions are more susceptible to security and stability risks over time, and businesses that don't upgrade miss out on new features that improve performance, scale, and manageability.
Red Hat provides life cycle release information so you can plan for the journey, along with utilities to help you reach the destination. During this event, we'll help you establish a vision for your Red Hat Enterprise Linux journey by covering:
- The key differences between Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7, 8, and 9.
- Utilities like Leapp, boom, and Convert2RHEL.
- Best practices for planning around upgrades and migrations.
Hands-on lab:
This lab offers the unique opportunity to “Learn by Doing.” During the lab, you'll have the opportunity to explore:
- How to convert CentOS Linux to Red Hat Enterprise Linux using Convert2RHEL.
- How to use Leapp application to upgrade your Red Hat Enterprise Linux without the need to reinstall.
- Practical solutions to stay ahead of the curve.
Note: We ask that you bring your own laptop to fully participate in the lab.
