James Read is a Principal Solution Architect, supporting the Microsoft partnership for 8 of the 12 years he has been at Red Hat. James is a Red Hatter with 2 hats—a technical hat and a commercial hat.

Under his technical hat James has in-depth experience with systems and software engineering, supported by a strong background in public cloud solutions. Under his commercial hat, he supports some of the biggest customers in the public sector and financial services industries to adopt Red Hat technology, with a focus on reducing operational cost and delivery risk.

Karl is a Senior Specialist for Linux on Azure at Microsoft. He works in the Global Black Belt team (bringing deep technical & sales expertise for advanced workloads on Azure), covers the EMEA region, is Irish, and is based in Dublin.

Karl has 20+ years experience working with Enterprise Linux, including deep speciality for HPC & AI. Karl loves helping customers, partners, and colleagues understand how to leverage the public cloud (with Linux & Microsoft Azure) to achieve more.
