OVERVIEW

Join Red Hat, Perficient and Microsoft in Houston on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 for a hands-on workshop with Azure Red Hat® OpenShift®. During the workshop, Red Hat Cloud Services experts will guide you through the Azure Red Hat OpenShift Service architecture, and will answer your questions.

Who should attend: This half-day, in-person workshop is ideal for Platform Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Cloud Operations, Architects, and Developers who need a flexible and proven platform to build, deploy and scale applications.

What to expect:  During the workshop, attendees will learn how to build a modern application platform by leveraging Azure Red Hat OpenShift, and other Azure cloud services. Through a series of hands on modules and instructor led presentations, attendees will

  • Perform Day 2 operations tasks such as configuring node and cluster scaling policies, configuring managed upgrades, and using labels for deterministic app placement on nodes.
  • Deploy an application that uses Azure Managed Database.
  • Make an application on OpenShift scalable and resistant to node failures and upgrades.
  • Integrate Azure Red Hat OpenShift Service with Azure services such as Azure AD, Azure Files, and more. 
Attendees should have fundamental knowledge of Azure concepts, familiarity with the Linux® CLI, fundamental experience with kubernetes and container technologies. All attendees should bring a laptop to perform the hands-on portions of the workshop.

Terms and Conditions

Parking

Parking: Parking is at the Houston MTC | 750 Town and Country Blvd #1000, Houston, TX 77024. The parking garage is located on the east side of 750 Town and Country Blvd.

• There are two entrances: one on Town and Country Blvd and one on Queensbury Ln (see red arrows in image)
• Parking in the garage is open, except when designated by a “Reserved” placard.
• Entrance to the 750 Town and Country building is available through the garage.
• Take the elevators up to the 10th floor to check- in with the host.
• Host will validate parking upon arrival during normal business hours (8am to 5pm) - please bring your ticket to the front desk to validate.
