Achieving Modern IT through a Culture of Change
Damien Eversmann, Chief Architect, Education, Red Hat
If there’s one thing that the pandemic taught us, it’s that we should not put off till tomorrow what can be done today.  Because for all we know, tomorrow might be postponed for a few years.  In the IT world, modernization is one of those initiatives that we often put off till the absolute last minute, often to catastrophic results.  Achieving a culture of Continuous Modernization is one way to avoid that catastrophe.  There are many paths to Continuous Modernization and many steps along the paths, but automation features prominently in all of them.  Adopting an Enterprise IT Automation posture can start you in your journey to a culture of Continuous Modernization.
10:30 AM – 10:55 AM
Generative AI: The Ansible Way
Xavier Lecauchois, Sr Director Ansible Lightspeed
The generative AI revolution didn’t catch Red Hat Ansible by surprise. Far from it. We’ve been preparing for this moment since 2021, partnering with IBM Research over the last few years to develop a generative AI solution that enhances the Ansible experience. And we’ve done it the Ansible way, with a tight focus on automation, and a commitment to delivering a solution that the Ansible community can trust.
In this session, we’ll provide an overview of our new generative AI offering Ansible Lightspeed, through the lens of how it has been developed, the questions it addresses, and how it is poised to reshape the Ansible creation experience.

Why cloud automation is important in a hybrid world
Matthew Packer, Principle Product Marketing Manager
Cloud environments add an additional layer of complexity to infrastructure, network, application, and user administration. Automation can unite hybrid cloud management under a single set of processes and policies to improve consistency, scalability, and speed. Red Hat® Ansible® Automation Platform (AAP) can simplify how you provision, configure, and manage cloud infrastructure, streamlining and operationalizing activities across multiple platforms and services.
In this session we’ll discuss the trends driving hybrid cloud automation, how AAP can automate your hybrid environments, and how AAP is now available on AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud and what those offers entail.

Garrett Nekic & Sean Cheema, Territory Services Managers, Red Hat
Garret and Sean will share some of the most memorable Ansible use cases they have recently implemented in the midwest region, including:
  • A retail point of sale engagement where Ansible was used to provision applications using RHEL for Edge.
  • A manufacturing example where we are using Ansible to provide pre-created playbooks to our client’s customer to update manufacturing control software.

Observability Automation: React Before the Humans Can
Ash Davis, Principal Solutions Specialist, Red Hat North America Technical Sales
Prior to today’s rich observability tools, we often found we didn’t know what we didn’t know about our environments. In many cases today, however, many find themselves inundated in data - effectively not knowing what they DO know. The reality is humans cannot respond in time to rapidly scaling observability data… but Ansible can. This talk will expand on why automating remediations is paramount to IT agility and will line out some places to get started, and what we have to look forward to in the future.
