Malware detection with Red Hat Insights

August 10, 2023 | 1:00 PM - 1:30 PM (GMT-04:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

OVERVIEW

Malware attacks targeting Linux® are on the rise. Between 2019 and the end of 2022, the number of new malware samples increased by 480%.

Did you know that Red Hat® Insights for Red Hat Enterprise Linux can be used to help detect the presence of malware? This software tool is frequently updated with the latest signatures and can be a useful addition to your security strategy.

Insights cloud-based malware-detection service is a monitoring and assessment tool that scans Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems for the presence of known malware. Accessed from the Red Hat Customer Portal, the system incorporates YARA pattern-matching software and detection signatures.

Insights proactively and continuously analyzes platforms and applications to help predict risks, recommend actions, track licenses and manage costs. This helps enterprises better manage their on-premise and hybrid cloud environments.

Join us on August 10, 2023 for a discussion of the different types of malware, the increasing need for malware detection and resolution, and how to get started and interpret malware-detection results. We’ll show you how simple it is to integrate Insights into your Red Hat environment.

Duration

This session is scheduled for 30 minutes, including 5 minutes at the end for Q and A.
