OVERVIEW
Join Red Hat® experts and your peers for a Red Hat User Group (RHUG) focused on Red Hat OpenShift®.
Session 1: Instant multicloud: How to make it happen
Consistent environments for engineers are often thought of as unattainable in multicloud architectures. Traditional application architectures tend to bring constraints and inconsistencies which inhibit a multicloud strategy. Through the power of Red Hat OpenShift cloud services, portable applications can be a reality today. In the first session, speaker Jerome Boutaud will demonstrate how two or more seemingly identical application platforms unify the multicloud experience, demonstrating the consistent developer experience and how to work across Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Microsoft Azure.
Presenter: Jerome Boutaud, OpenShift Product Manager for ARO, Red Hat
Session 2: OpenShift Virtualization: Optimizing your VM operations for your modern infrastructure
In spite of the shift for developers who are working with containers, virtual machines (VMs) still run a large part of many core business capabilities. Offering greater scale and automation, Kubernetes is the most disruptive technology since virtualization itself, two decades before. In this session, speaker Peter Lauterbach will uncover how customers and partners deliver applications of VMs and containers on a unified, optimized platform. The next evolution of infrastructure administration combines the best of past principles, and explores GitOps, making it even more self-service and scalable. Peter will discuss what work remains and share Red Hat’s vision, and provide guidance on how to start your own journey for VMs in Kubernetes.
Presenter: Peter Lauterbach, OpenShift Product Manager for Virtualization, Red Hat
