April 6, 2023 | 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM (GMT-04:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

APIs are essential in our development process, from creating microservices, externally facing APIs to organization APIs. However, what remains pivotal is our approach to design and ensuring success with APIs. Join us in this session as we explore effective strategies for developing consistent APIs, streamlining API organization, and aligning API requirements to meet your goals. In this session, we will discuss guidance on creating coherent APIs, organizing our APIs and mapping requirements to APIs.

We’ll discuss:
  • Selecting the best style of API: REST, GraphQL, gRPC, event based
  • Decomposition of APIs into microservices
  • Organizing API profiles
  • Security and vulnerabilities of APIs
  • Appropriate use of service meshes and API gateways
  • Challenges and solutions we’ve learned creating APIs
