Virtual Event

Preparing your applications for a cloud-native migration to a managed cloud platform

April 6, 2023 | 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM (GMT-04:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

OVERVIEW

Migrating from a traditional, on-premise, monolithic development environment to a modern cloud-native ecosystem brings many challenges, not all of which are technical. Managing your migrations becomes imperative, especially once many different business units are involved. Disparate schedules, priorities, and change management are all factors that should be considered. These migrations can often be even more complex in enterprise businesses where external stakeholders become a significant factor in migration strategy. Managing timelines is critical to preventing migrations from becoming overdue and costly for those involved.

In this webinar, we’ll cover:

  • Challenges faced when migrating applications.
  • How to handle the analysis of cloud-native application migrations.
  • Ways to identify uncomplicated applications to migrate.
  • How to use CNCF Konveyor tools like Tackle.

This webinar outlines how open source Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) projects like Konveyor can be effectively used to help plan for migrations into Red Hat® OpenShift®. Outlining how to effectively perform premigration analysis can lead to less time-consuming migrations and cost savings.
