But do you know all of the tips and tricks to keep your Red Hat Enterprise Linux® (RHEL) environments and other Red Hat infrastructure running efficiently, securely and compliant with various standards? This in-person, hands-on workshop is for you! Plus you’ll get to experience a bit of fun at the end of the day with a private distillery tour and whiskey tasting.
Workshop details:
This hands-on technical workshop will go through the process of configuring a Satellite server in such a way that it is just as easy and quick to manage 100,000 machines as it is to manage a dozen machines. This will include deploying the OS, installing and configuring software, patching on a regular schedule, and verifying your applications are still functional as part of the patching process. The demonstrated features will work for on-prem single datacenter, on-prem multi-datacenter, cloud, multi-cloud, and hybrid environments.
Tasks:
- Configure Content Sources with automatic synchronization
- Creating a standard naming scheme for Host Groups
- Configure and automate OS deployments
- Configure Central Configuration Management for automatic machine configuration and drift remediation
- Configure Compute Resources for automated VM creation
- Configure Remote Execution that can be utilized for remote patching including verifying applications are functional after patching and rebooting.
