Ansible network automation workshop

OVERVIEW

The Ansible® network automation workshop is a half-day, hands-on workshop covering both Ansible and automation controller. Attendees will learn how to use Ansible to automate network operations and acquire the skills needed to implement Ansible and automation controller at their organizations.

Note: In this workshop, attendees will be managing network devices, such as Cisco routers.

The hands-on workshop includes:

  • Introduction to Ansible automation
  • How Ansible works for network automation
  • Exploring the lab environment
  • Execute your first network automation playbook
  • Use Ansible facts on network devices
  • Use Jinja to template network configurations 
  • Explore the automation controller environment 
  • Create an Ansible survey
Who is this workshop best for?

This workshop is geared toward network operators, network engineers, cloud administrators, DevOps engineers, security professionals and anyone interested in network automation.
 
Prerequisites:

Attendees should have working knowledge of using secure shell (SSH) and command line shell (BASH) as well as a conceptual understanding of Linux® system administration (e.g., how to use simple commands like cd, ls, mv, mkdir, etc).

Ansible Sales Specialist, Red Hat

Connor Pinkney is a Ansible Sales Specialist on the Telco, Media and Entertainment team at Red Hat. He has spent his career at Red Hat in various sales positions focused on providing infrastructure, cloud, and automation solutions to customers. Today he primarily works with users to help build and foster automation strategies and solutions to help better align with their goals.
 
Adam Pippert

Adam Pippert

Associate Principal Specialist Solutions Architect, Red Hat

Adam Pippert is an Associate Principal Specialist Solutions Architect on the Telco, Media and Entertainment team at Red Hat. Adam focuses on automation and emerging technologies within vertical industries. He has also worked with other products in Red Hat’s hybrid cloud portfolio, and helps customers expand their technical capabilities in both IT and lines of business.
