In the case of 5G core (5GC), there might be dozens of clusters and nodes in the central or regional datacenter. However there might be hundreds, perhaps thousands or even tens of thousands of RAN nodes (CUs and DUs) at the edge, far edge, and cell site locations. This scale of deployment necessitates the use of automation and zero-touch provisioning (ZTP) of cloud RAN infrastructure.
This session will focus on a declarative, GitOps-based approach for deploying Red Hat® OpenShift® infrastructure for mass scale cloud RAN roll-out. It will also explore the technical, logistical and administrative consideration for an end-to-end ZTP workflow.
