Data is the most important commodity in your business, and as such, protecting your data is important. Some data is more valuable than other data, either because of how central it is to your business, or how sensitive your business is to your data being unavailable. Two things to consider are your recovery point objective (RPO), the maximum amount of data loss after an unplanned incident and recovery time objective (RTO), the maximum amount of down time after a failure or disaster occurs.
