Who is this workshop best for?

This workshop is intended for people who want to learn the basics of using Ansible® and the Ansible Automation Platform to automate Linux® endpoints; attendees will leave this workshop with a better understanding of how Ansible works and how it can be used to automate basic tasks. In addition, the instructor will provide information on differentiation between the upstream project and the product offering from Red Hat®.

This is a no cost workshop for both government and contractors.

Description

This workshop teaches the basic things you need to start using Ansible Automation on your own, and consists of the following: 

  • Basics of using Ansible on the command line to automate Linux endpoints
  • Applying what you’ve learned to implement your enterprise use cases using the Ansible Automation Platform
  • Integration with Linux management tools such as Red Hat Satellite and OpenSCAP for additional use cases such as upgrades and for visibility and implementation of compliance controls.

You’ll start off by writing your first Ansible playbook, work on Jinja templates, and implement higher-level Ansible roles. Next you’ll get started using Automation Controller, understand inventory and credential management, projects, job templates, surveys, workflows and more.

This workshop is Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), so please bring your own laptop.  In addition to your device, a  web browser is all that is needed.
