Learn how to be a force multiplier, by turning repetitive tasks into fully automated, streamlined IT management workflows using Ansible® Automation Platform 2.0 in this SOF automation tech day with Red Hat®.
The first half of this automation day teaches the basic bits you need to start using Ansible Automation, specifically the knowledge required to automate Microsoft Windows-based hosts. Attendees will be guided through configuring Ansible Automation controller to connect to Windows Server instances for automating various operational tasks.
In the second half of the automation day, attendees receive a comprehensive beginners guide to automating popular network data center devices from Arista, Cisco and Juniper via Ansible playbooks. You’ll learn how to pull facts from devices, build templated network configurations, and apply these concepts at scale with Ansible Automation controller. You’ll put it all together by exploring the controller’s job templates, surveys, access controls and more.
Device Requirements
A Chromebook will be available to each attendee to complete the workshop. Optionally, attendees may bring their own device. A modern web browser is all that is needed.
Who is this workshop best for?
This workshop is intended for people who want to learn the basics of using Ansible Automation to automate linux®, windows and network endpoints. Attendees will leave this workshop with a better understanding of how Ansible works and how it can be used to automate basic tasks. In addition, the instructor will provide information on the differentiation between the upstream project and the product offering from Red Hat.
This is a no-cost workshop for government employees, Active Duty members and contractors working in or with the Special Operations Community.
