There are many discussions and sophisticated concepts about how to solve continuous builds and deployments (CI/CD). We’ve known “Infrastructure as Code” for some time; it has become common practice in most cloud environments. With GitOps, we do the same regarding application deployment and configuration. The desired state of Kubernetes resources is described declaratively and versioned in Git. Operators running in the target environment are continuously validating and reconciling this state. The process of continuous delivery is fully automated by specialized components such as the projects from the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF), Argo CD and Flux CD, and of course, the built-ins of OpenShift.
Join us in this Red Hat workshop where Wayne Dovey will highlight how all of this nicely plays together, starting with an overview of Kubernetes and OpenShift before demonstrating what Red Hat OpenShift GitOps is, what are the best practices recommended by Red Hat, and presenting multiple use cases that GitOps can solve.

During this workshop, we will explore the various benefits of GitOps, providing customer stories and community insights, and where the open source projects are moving, before deep-diving into working examples and various technologies to solve these challenges - creating consistent security, compliance, governance and application management with GitOps tooling.
Please note that lunch will be served at the office, if you opt-in for the physical format of the workshop.
