Ask questions, follow along with the demo and create your project in the console to get a feel for how Azure Red Hat OpenShift will work for your team and workloads.

When: Wednesday, 16 March 2022 | 12:30 pm to 4.30 pm AWST

Who: This 4-hour, in-person workshop is ideal for developers, architects and operations engineers who need a flexible and proven platform to build, deploy and scale applications. Your account team has invited you to this specific session so you can get more familiar with Azure Red Hat OpenShift and get your "feet wet" without commitment.

To make the most of your time, we’ve limited the number of participants in this session.

What to expect: During this workshop, we will take you through two labs to help you understand some of the concepts of deploying and securing container based applications on top of Azure Red Hat OpenShift. In particular, you will:

  • Create a project on the Azure Red Hat OpenShift web console.
  • Deploy a MongoDB container that uses Azure disks for persistent storage.
  • Deploy a Node.js API and front end app from GitHub using Source-To-Image (S2I).
  • Expose the web application front end using OpenShift routes.
  • Create a network policy to control communication between the different tiers in the application.
  • Explore the internals of Kubernetes and OpenShift via a deployed application on Azure Red Hat OpenShift.

Get experience and an informed view of Azure Red Hat OpenShift. Confirm your spot in this workshop, register today to save your seat.

Prerequisites:

  • A personal GitHub account. You can sign up for free here.
  • Ability to make an SSH connection to our labs. This can be done natively with a Mac or Linux machine or with the optional OpenSSH client or other third-party software on a Windows 10 or later machine. The SSH connection will be to a cloud hosted machine, so ensure that VPNs or proxies on your device do not restrict this connection.
