Red Hat Multi-cloud Demonstration Showcase (CBA L300 session) | CBA Cloud Deep-Dive Series (L200-400)

Welcome to the first CBA Cloud Deep-Dive Series (L200-400) for 2022.

Red Hat Multi-cloud Demonstration Showcase [CBA L300 session] – A hands on demo centric session with a panel of experts ready to field your questions in real time.

As CBA shifts to a multi-cloud reference architecture, we engaged with key stakeholders from architecture, engineering and multiple business domains at CBA to explore the challenges of operating critical applications across clouds.  We have built a consistent multi-cloud container environment across AWS, Azure and IBM Cloud IaaS (simulating on premises or co-lo data center locations). We will leverage this environment and a 3-tier mobile banking application to show:

• A Consistent Multi-cloud container operating model in action
• The same container platform running on AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud, System Z, System P & VMWare

We will address the following common challenges and demonstrate how enterprise open source can be leveraged to overcome them through:

• Consistent security infrastructure across Multi Cloud showing Single Sign On as an example

• Resilience across Cloud providers leveraging open source technologies such as Submariner and CockroachDB

• Observability through integration with AWS Cloudwatch a technology already in the CBA cloud ecosystem

• Automation of infrastructure, configuration and application deployment/management as code using DevOps & GitOps with ArgoCD and Ansible

• Multi Processor Architecture deployment/management with Clusters across Public Cloud and On Prem via Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management

• Cross Cloud and cross Cluster communications leveraging Submariner and explore directions for service mesh & directions for federation
