Container Security for the Enterprise | CBA Lunch & Learn Series (L100)

Tuesday, 15 February 2022 | 12:30pm - 1:30pm AEDT

OVERVIEW

Container Security for the Enterprise
Date: Tuesday, 15 February 2022
Time: 12:30pm - 1:30pm AEDT

Welcome to the first Red Hat & CBA Cloud Lunch & Learn Series (L100) for 2022!

With many organisations now running essential services on containers, implementing container security has never been more critical.

How do you integrate security throughout the layers of the solution stack before you deploy and run your container?

And how do you make security a continuous process throughout the application and platform life cycles, adapting to respond to new threats and solutions as they emerge?

Join us in this session as we will cover the key elements of security for containerised applications managed with Kubernetes, as well as providing a timely demo on how detection, assessment and remediation can be handled in response to a widespread security vulnerability such as the recent log4j issue.

Agenda:

  • Introduction
  • A short recap of containers
  • Container security (across multiple dimensions)
  • Demo - K8s Native Incident Response & Assessment - What to do when the next log4j comes around.
  • Q & A

Plus, join us for lunch during this Virtual Session!
The first 50 registrants from Commonwealth Bank of Australia located in Australia, will receive an UberEats Voucher (worth AU$30), subject to the terms and conditions*

Featured speaker

  • Shane Boulden, Lead Security Architect A/NZ at Red Hat

Shane Boulden is a specialist solution architect at Red Hat. He brings his experience working across military intelligence and security to support organisations to create more secure hybrid cloud platforms, and automate security practices and processes. Shane has supported Kubernetes adoption at Defense organisations, and helped teams to adopt DevSecOps approaches to cloud-native application development and deployment. He has a keen interest in how automation supports Zero Trust adoption. Shane also leads collaboration with the open source "Compliance as Code" project, supporting the project to codify Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) guidance and make this available for Australian organisations.
