Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation for cloud-native applications

As organizations adopt new hybrid and multicloud strategies, they need reliable software-defined storage that delivers cloud-native data services to their applications at scale. This session will highlight the Red Hat Ceph Storage architecture and discuss some of the important features that have been introduced over the past year. We will also present how Red Hat Ceph Storage is being used today for various workloads, such as analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, data protection and archives, as well as how Ceph is integral to cloud-native applications running in OpenStack and OpenShift®. As a key component to Red Hat OpenShift Data Foundation, we will discuss Ceph's role as a persistent storage layer providing file, block, and object storage classes, and how OpenShift Data Foundation delivers simplified Day 1 and Day 2 operations, while providing a consistent user experience for operators running in Red Hat OpenShift regardless of the underlying infrastructure, on-premise or in a private or public cloud, and across multiple cloud environments.

Finally, we will introduce how these solutions provide the data foundation for Red Hat's overall portfolio by demonstrating some data engineering patterns with examples of real-world use cases.
