Wine tasting experience with Master Sommelier Jesse Becker

Join Red Hat® and Master Sommelier, Jesse Becker for a special wine tasting event. Jesse will lead our guests through a blind tasting of two wines -- conducted in a similar method to that in sommelier exams. You may have seen these techniques in action in various movies and TV shows -- it goes through identifying descriptions of the wine (i.e. red cherries, plums, flowers, spice), looks at the visual aspects of the wine (i.e. color, legs), and explains what to look for on the palate (i.e. tannins, acid). You'll be fascinated by the process and have fun trying to figure out the wine you're enjoying. With guidance from Jesse, the final guess is up to you! During this hour-long event, you'll have the opportunity to interact directly with our sommelier. We encourage everyone to ask questions to help you enhance your future wine tasting experiences.

Jesse Becker is a Master Sommelier, Certified Wine Educator, Accredited Bordeaux Tutor, and VDP Ambassador. He's one of just 269 Master Sommelier's in the world. Jesse has worked for some of the top restaurants in the United States and has written extensively about the wines of Germany and Austria. In addition to teaching and writing, he also works as a Portfolio Specialist for Craft+Estate. There are only 269 people who've earned the title of Master Sommelier worldwide.

Please register by Monday, November 29th to reserve your seat. It's as simple as that. A box with two distinctly different wines, as well as a separate cheese/snack box, will be shipped to you in advance of the event. We’re looking forward to you joining us for this special event!
