Presenters:

Paul Patterson, Director Client Services - Data Science, Aviana
With over 35 years of experience in IT consulting and software product companies, Paul has been directly involved in working with client analysts to build and deploy software solutions across a variety of industries and complex domains. Since 1999, Paul has been working with data science technologies in both hands-on and leadership roles with a keen responsibility for ensuring that the promise of data science be realized by deploying practical solutions with direct applicability to a business need.  Helping non-technical, business-oriented stakeholders and users understand the practical application of data science techniques is a key focus for Paul’s work with Aviana Global and their Bizlytics platform, NEMESIS.
Marc Mangus, Principal Specialist Solution Architect, Global Healthcare Red Hat
Marc brings 30 years of experience in Product Management, Software Development and Systems Architecture. Prior to Red Hat, Marc served as a Product Manager/Product Owner at Anthem where he led one of the largest clinical application development projects for the company. Marc has led the product teams at several startup and early stage companies including serving as CPO for Elva, a wearable medical device company, and as CTO for Health Access Solutions a clinical software company, and for EmLogis, a healthcare scheduling software company. Marc also designed a network infrastructure solution for interactive television included in Wired Magazine’s Top100 Network Projects. Marc is a pioneer in virtualization and cloud technology and is the author of “Citrix MetaFrame for Windows Terminal Services: The Official Guide.”
