VIRTUAL HANDS-ON WORKSHOP

Creating High Velocity Apps Workshop

Getting started with OpenShift

19 August 2021
10am to 12pm AEST

If you are new to Kubernetes & containers and are seeking answers as to how this new technology can help you create high velocity applications, this session will help get you started on your container journey.

Containers are a standardised way to package apps with all of their dependencies to simplify deployment and speed delivery. Unlike virtual machines, containers do not bundle to the operating system. Only the application code, run time, libraries, and settings are packaged inside of containers. Thus, containers are more lightweight, portable, and efficient as compared to virtual machines.
