Learn how to automate your mission critical Windows systems with Red Hat® Ansible® Automation Platform + Chocolatey at our hands-on technical workshop.

In this session, you'll go from writing your first Ansible playbook to automating various configuration management tasks on Windows Servers via Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform. By the end of the workshop, you'll have acquired enough new knowledge and experience to immediately start going faster and getting more done in your own organization's Windows environments using Ansible: one of the fastest growing and already most popular infrastructure automation solutions, managing over 4 million nodes.

The workshop includes:

  • What is Ansible used for in Windows shops?
  • Key Ansible Automation Platform Features
  • Integrating Ansible Automation Platform with Chocolatey
  • Windows System Configuration Management use cases: WinRM setup; User, Service and Package management; Using PowerShell; Managing Windows Updates, Features, Registry and more

Daniel Goosen, Chief Architect, Level Up (a systems integrator and Red Hat Advanced Partner).

Daniel has been working in large scale cloud environments for over a decade and has been working with Ansible since 2015. Previously, Daniel was Vice President of DevOps and Platform Engineering for one of the world’s largest survey research data and technology firms(Dynata/SSI). Prior to that, he was Director of Web Systems and led systems engineering teams for a top five global ecommerce site (Ticketmaster/Live Nation). Daniel helps Level Up’s customers become cloud native primarily via open source technologies, holds various cloud certifications, and has been involved in leading 10 public Ansible and OpenShift workshops over the last year alone.

Chocolatey Presenters:

Adil Leghari, Senior Solutions Engineer, Chocolatey Software

Adil is a 15-year Sysadmin who is super-passionate about PowerShell and automation. He is a co-founder of the Pacific Northwest PowerShell User Group and a co-host of BridgeConf. 

Mukesh Sharm, Co-Founder & COO, Chocolatey Software

Mukesh is passionate about helping our customers on the Windows Automation journey. He has spent 20+ years helping various organizations adopt new disruptive technologies rapidly and consistently; from virtualization, cloud, data analytics to DevOps/WinOps. He is always seeking out opportunities to offer the customer a better experience than they expect.

George James, Solutions Architect (Global Partner, Solutions Architecture), Red Hat

George is a Solutions Architect for Red Hat (Global Partner, Solution Architecture). He has over 20 years experience in IT for a large financial services company. George specializes in network and Windows automation with Ansible.
