In 2014, ESB identified a need to transform our existing infrastructure to meet current and future business needs. This transformation affected ESB’s major applications both internal and externally facing and would take over 4 years to implement. This transformation included both hardware and software change to be delivered concurrently while not impacting current operations and on-going projects. A key element of this transformation was our decision to utilize Red Hat Linux as part of the design. In this session, ESB will outline the rationale behind the decision, bring you through the journey we took and outline some of our future business strategies which will be built on Red Hat Linux.

16:30 - 17:00 Engineering OpenStack for Continuous Integration

Ericsson embarked on an OpenStack journey three years ago to move Ericsson FCAPS system called ENM to the cloud. Moving a product to OpenStack is a considerable challenge but bringing the CI tooling and KPI for test delivery are critical. This session outlines the highs and lows of delivering a CI pipeline on OpenStack with a new and evolving product.
