Join your Red Hat and IBM colleagues for Ansible Automation Summit 2021

Learning by doing is the new style of effective education. During Ansible Automation Summit 2021, running from now until June 16, 2021, all Red Hat and IBM employees can use this opportunity to master their Ansible skills and boost collaboration by learning, teaming up, and having fun together.

Regardless of your role, there’s an opportunity for everyone to participate:

• Role one: People who have observed a need and have an automation idea to address it - no developer skills are needed. For example, business professionals who know their area of expertise may have ideas to improve their daily work and processes. Or maybe a customer complaint about a complex process, would be made simpler through automation. Our team will match your idea up with a developer.
• Role two: Those with decent IT know-how, project management and/or understanding of IT processes, can submit a use case with a description of the changes and improvements.
• Role three: Developers familiar with script, code, or handling apps from DEV or OPS side can submit the code with the use case. Alternatively, they can be matched with a business professional’s idea and create the code for their submitted use case.

You’ll also have a chance to learn via online trainings and live sessions, share expertise with Red Hat experts, and collaborate on automation ideas with other IBMers and Red Hatters.

There are four phases to Ansible Automation Summit 2021, open to all Red Hat and IBM employees:

Step two: Learning – April 8 to May 7, 2021

Start learning about Ansible or if you’re already into it, refresh your knowledge by joining:

• Road show with Red Hatters – virtual meetings with the experts, where you’ll have a chance to talk with top Ansible experts.

 

Step three: Registration in GitHub - April 27 to May 16, 2021

Sign up to take part in the Ansible Automation Summit contest. On April 12, we’ll announce the themes to develop your automation ideas around, you can work solo or team up with other IBMers or Red Hatters.

Step four: Contest - May 10 to June 6, 2021

Develop your own ideas for automation and take part in the contest by submitting an idea, a use case, and/or developing the code.

After the contest, all the ideas and codes provided will be evaluated by a validation board of Red Hat and IBM experts, prior to awards being issued in a ceremony on June 18, 2021.
