Ansible is a simple automation language that can easily describe and IT application infrastructure. It is Open Source and uses YAML for playbook development. People can easily learn and understand the content of the playbook and automation workflow. One of our FSI customers would like to extend Ansible automation into the IBM i operating system to fulfill their business objectives - they would like to improve the consistency and integrity of the deployment on some of the IBM i tasks while performing Disaster Recovery (DR) simulation. Customers would also like to optimize their human resources allocation so that they would not need a bunch of staff back onsite during the DR simulation. In this webinar, we will look at how Ansible automation is able to assist them to achieve their objectives, using the latest IBM i modules.
Anthony was a DevOps engineer from Ericsson working on the AT&T Integrated Cloud/Network Cloud Project in the United States. In this role, he has used Ansible to deploy and upgrade more than 50 customized OpenStack cloud clusters across the U.S and international production sites. He was also working as a core member/developer of the OpenStack Airship project prior to joining Red Hat. He is currently working as a regional Cloud Automation Specialist Solution Architect with Red Hat, focusing primarily on Ansible Automation solutions.
Kok Hui Lew
Kok Hui Lew is a specialist solutions architect from Red Hat Malaysia, focusing on platform technologies. Lew has been working in IT for 17 years, across Telco and FSI industries and has over 15 years experience in Red Hat Linux and open source projects deployment and integration. With a particular interest in Ansible, containers and kubernetes.
Mei Yang is a platform Solutions Architect in Red Hat Malaysia. He is responsible for consulting and architect IT solutions encompassing services and technologies in focus areas of Red Hat Platform Solution such as Red Hat Cloud Infrastructure, Red Hat Virtualization, Red Hat Ansible Automation.
Wang Yun is STSM and business architect of IBM i development team. His focus areas are cloud, systems management and automation for IBM i platform. He leads the Ansible for IBM i team not only creating modules, plugins and roles, but also building up key solutions for common use cases such as fix management, CI/CD, security checkings, etc.
