Building Organizations of the Future

About the Community-Powered Innovation Center

In today’s digital world, business and government leaders alike must rely on new organizational models, incentive systems, and technologies that enable innovation. They also need improved speed and efficiency to deliver digital capabilities faster.

To adapt to the demands of a new digital reality, these leaders are embracing open source software and the agile work methodology DevOps. This collective push for an end-to-end open organization means that those hoping to excel in the digital era are united in a common quest: to tap into the power of community.

The Community-Powered Innovation Center, located near Washington D.C., is dedicated to driving organizational change through open source technologies and methodologies.

For this event, government employees and contractors are invited to a hands-on workshop at the Center designed to answer these key questions:

Open Organization Academy
How do you build an open organization with innovative and engaged people?
Words like transparency, inclusivity, adaptability, collaboration, and even the word community itself sounds great, but what do they really mean? Learn how you can take these sometimes vague and abstract concepts and turn them into tangible principles that your organization can put into practice.

Builders Academy
How can software enhance and optimize the performance of your organization?

Which of your organization’s essential functions and capabilities are dependent on software? Learn about the development practices, tools, and methods your organization should employ to deliver those capabilities faster.

Technology Academy
How are open source technologies shaping the future?

Which open source technologies do leading organizations rely on for a meaningful digital transformation? Learn about the technologies that should be seriously considered—and find out how to adopt, deploy, and utilize them.
