February 25, 202112:00 PM - 1:15 PM(GMT-04:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Strategies to promote a culture of experimentation and collaboration to evolve Healthcare practice and purpose

AI/ML has begun to disrupt healthcare, and its impact carries potential for medical breakthroughs, improvements in quality of care, and dissemination of knowledge at a rate never experienced. In this disruption comes inherent risk. However, digital transformation is not a new phenomenon, it is a well studied practice, and when applied holistically can be the key to successful disruption. Collaborate with us as we discuss the emergence of AI/ML in healthcare, share your experiences and learn from one another as we discuss how to navigate this new form of digital transformation to success.

Method

Lean Coffee is a structured, but agenda-less meeting. Participants gather, build an agenda, and begin talking. Conversations are directed and productive because the agenda for the meeting was democratically generated. Ben and Andrew will supply a short list of seed topics, but participants will be asked to provide additional content to provide a more holistic collaboration.

Ben Cushing, Field CTO, Federal Health, Red Hat
For two decades, Ben Cushing has been a leader in emerging technology solutions across multiple industries and is committed to radical innovation in healthcare. Before joining Red Hat, he served as the Chief Technology Officer for MDLogix, a behavioral health IT firm supporting Johns Hopkins Medicine. There he architected and brought to market a behavioural health cloud platform for use with employer, healthcare, and education markets.

His tenure at Accenture began with the acquisition of Agilex, where he designed LSI solutions, developed systems to automate the Post-9/11 GI bill, and supported in-theater data collection and analytics tools. While at Agilex, Ben architected and led the development of a mobile Software Development Kit, still in use today by the VA to produce more than 60 applications.
