Red Hat OpenShift 4.6 supporting MAG

OpenShift® 4.6 features Kubernetes 1.19, bringing remote / disconnected worker nodes that allow tactical and edge solutions to be built without maintaining persistent connectivity to the Kubernetes control plane. OpenShifts integrated management makes deploying a fleet of disconnected workers a breeze.  Additionally, OpenShift 4.6 has been built to sustain a 18 month operating cycle for workloads who’s mission requirements dictate continuous operation without interruption. Security automation of vulnerability checking and compliance scanning of the OpenShift cluster has been automated using the Red Hat® Compliance Operator, allowing administrators to customize scans to their security requirements.

 In part two of our three part series, we’ll be talking to the pro’s from Microsoft, who have worked hand in hand with the OpenShift engineering teams to enable OpenShift 4.6’s robust support of Microsoft Azure Government (MAG), providing customers with more flexibility to deploy their containerized workloads today with a cloud agnostic platform that provides a lock-in free migration path to other clouds, or even your own data center.

Jim Zimmerman is currently a Global Black Belt Solution Specialist focusing on Cloud Native technologies such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.  Up until recently, he has been the Program Manager for ARO (Azure Red Hat OpenShift) for the last 2 years working with Red Hat and Microsoft engineering to create the service.
