Red Hat Tech Talk for ANZ Bank:
AI/ML Innovation with NVIDIA on Red Hat OpenShift

Join Red Hat for a live Virtual Tech Talk for ANZ Bank featuring NVIDIA’s Michael Lang, and Red Hat’s Vincent Caldeira and Tom Corcoran, as we discuss and demonstrate AI/ML Innovation with NVIDIA on Red Hat OpenShift.

Date: Thursday 26 November 2020
Time: 12:00pm - 1:30pm AEDT / 2:00pm - 3:30pm NZDT

Plus, join us for lunch during this Virtual Session!
The first 100 registrants from ANZ Bank based in Australia or New Zealand will receive either an UberEats Voucher (worth AU$30) or a Deliver Easy Voucher (worth NZ$30), subject to the terms and conditions*

Recent years have borne witness to an astonishing growth in the volume of information stored and processed in real time. The world is now well past the point where making sense of all this information is humanly possible and we need specialised tools such as AI/ML to provide meaningful insights to inform decision making. The resurgence of AI/ML has been driven by the combination of Big Data and the commoditisation of high-performance computing such as GPUs. This has enabled bolder algorithms to tackle more ambitious problems. What used to be the realm of Universities and super computers, has now been democratised. AI/ML platforms can now be deployed at a fraction of the time and cost, and made use of by a new generation of data scientists and data engineers.

Despite this democratisation, new challenges have emerged:
  • Difficulty taking private data into the public cloud is driving AI/ML on premise, but the business cannot get access to the infrastructure they need to answer the questions they have
  • Data Scientists and Data Engineers can’t get ready access to the tools and compute power they need to respond to business demand
  • A lack of frameworks and architecture to support model building, deployment and monitoring, inherently affects the continuous delivery required for AI projects

Hear from NVIDIA’s Michael Lang and Red Hat’s Vincent Caldeira on how Financial Services are making the most out of AI/ML, and how OpenShift is being used by Data Engineers and Data Scientists to build powerful AI/ML solutions for the business faster than ever before.

Live Demonstration:
Red Hat’s Tom Corcoran will provide a whirlwind tour of how OpenShift (powered by NVIDIA GPUs) provides a self-enabled AI/ML data science platform for real time fraud detection.

What you will learn:

  • Trends and applications of AI/ML in the financial services sector
  • How continuous delivery practices will accelerate your model development and ongoing tuning
  • How OpenShift provides the tools for data engineers and data scientists on demand
  • How a training “manufacturing line” could improve the economics and optimise GPU usage

Who should attend:

  • Business Leaders who want to learn how a self-enabled data scientist can deliver valuable.
  • Data Engineers and Data Scientists that want to respond quickly to business demand to build, deploy, and maintain AI/ML models for decision-management systems
