Learn, Build, and Deploy
with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8:
An Interactive Workshop

October 22, 202012:00 PM - 1:30 PM(GMT-04:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Modern IT is hybrid IT. But turning a sprawling ecosystem—from traditional data centers to public cloud services—into a true hybrid environment requires a few things. Scaling as needed. Moving workloads seamlessly. Developing and managing applications that run anywhere. There's an operating system that makes those things possible. Join us for a series of lunchtime sessions that will give you insight into detailed aspects of Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 8 and how they can help you solve real-world problems...because what you do today sets the stage for what you can do tomorrow.

In this hands-on workshop with Red Hat experts, you will learn how to:

  • Explore how someone with limited Linux experience can apply system updates to Red Hat Enterprise Linux systems through this user friendly web interface.
  • Enforce more complex ciphers, protocol versions, and usable ciphers across all services running on your machines.
  • Create your own customized system-wide cryptographic policy to suit your environment while still applying the policy to all applications that utilize the cryptographic libraries with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This workshop is ideal for developers, system administrators, and architects with a technical background interested in learning how the tools in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 enable faster delivery of workloads, with less effort.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Lab materials will be provided.
  • Attendees should have a basic understanding of working with Linux systems and must bring a laptop with Chrome 73+, Firefox 60+, Edge 40+, or Safari 12+ installed.  There is no student prep work required prior to the workshop.
