Learn, Build, and Deploy
with Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8:
An Interactive Workshop

October 19, 202012:00 PM - 1:30 PM(GMT-04:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Modern IT is hybrid IT. But turning a sprawling ecosystem—from traditional data centers to public cloud services—into a true hybrid environment requires a few things. Scaling as needed. Moving workloads seamlessly. Developing and managing applications that run anywhere. There's an operating system that makes those things possible. Join us for a series of lunchtime sessions that will give you insight into detailed aspects of Red Hat® Enterprise Linux® 8 and how they can help you solve real-world problems...because what you do today sets the stage for what you can do tomorrow.

In this hands-on workshop with Red Hat experts, you will learn how to:

  • Keep track of what is happening on your systems by using Terminal Session Recording to record and review terminal sessions of users and administrators.
  • Resolve Critical Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) by applying Kernel Live Patches to your systems without needing to take a system downtime for maintenance.
  • Choose versions of popular and supported open source languages and offer them to users through an application stream.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This workshop is ideal for developers, system administrators, and architects with a technical background interested in learning how the tools in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 enable faster delivery of workloads, with less effort.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Lab materials will be provided.
  • Attendees should have a basic understanding of working with Linux systems and must bring a laptop with Chrome 73+, Firefox 60+, Edge 40+, or Safari 12+ installed.  There is no student prep work required prior to the workshop.
