Quarkus is a Kubernetes Native Java stack tailored for GraalVM and OpenJDK HotSpot, crafted from the best of breed Java librarues and standards. Amazingly fast boot time, incredibly low RSS memory offering near instant scale up and high density memory utilization in conainer orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Quarkus iffers a unified imperative and reactive programming model and a number of other developer features like Live Reload to bring real joy to your development.
 
Throughout this hands-on workshop you'll discover how Quarkus can make your development of cloud native apps faster and more productive. You will be using Red Hat CodeReady Workspace, an online, browser based IDE. You will build a simple Quarkus based API, use live reloading to make changes, be introduced to Quarkus CDI, package the application for deployment on OpenJDK, and finally package the application as a native executable.
 
The workshop will take place on Google Meet. Once you have completed the registration form you will be sent a confirmation email including the link required in order for you to join on the day.
