Red Hat User Group

We have finalized our agenda for our December Grand Rapids RHUG building on our very successful inaugural event.

The theme for this RHUG is going to be "Learn Something New" as we are going to have an eclectic set of topics and speakers come to talk about a wide variety of Red Hat and Open Source topics. There will be material for our community of developers, system administrators and security professionals presented by our team of Red Hat Solution Architects headlined by Terry Bowling our Technical Product Manager for System Management in our RHEL Business Unit.

Registration and lunch will be from 12:00 to 1:00PM followed by the speakers and topics below:

Terry will be speaking on an upstream Fedora topic; Yum v4 and Appstream. Application Streams will provide a better experience for distributing software on various Linux distributions like RHEL.

Patrick Regan will be talking about OpenShift for Operations where he will describe his experiences with Day 2 Operations of an OpenShift environment.

Scott Seighman will be doing a technical briefing on OpenSCAP and how it is being used to manage our customers Security Compliance.

Finally something for our developer community as Dave Proksch will be giving a talk on developing to AMQ Streams (Kafka) in an OpenShift environment.
