Red Hat Ansible Network Automation Workshop for Verizon

Please join us on September 30 at 12:00 p.m ET/ 9:00 a.m. PT for a Red Hat® Ansible® Network Automation Workshop. This workshop is exclusively for Verizon. 

The Ansible Network Automation Workshop is a hands-on workshop covering both Ansible and Ansible Tower. It will focus on a comprehensive overview of Ansible, the open source project that powers Ansible Tower.  The workshop then transitions to Ansible Tower. Attendees manage network devices via Cisco routers. By the end of the workshop, attendees will be equipped with the skills needed to implement Ansible and Ansible Tower at their companies.

For this workshop please ensure you are able to ssh to AWS networks and that you're not proxied for items without SSL certificates. (If you need to you can use your personal device to attend.)

Please be familiar with VI/VIM/Nano for editing and creating playbooks in the Ansible Network Engine portion of the class.

Who Can Benefit

This workshop is geared toward network operators, network engineers, cloud administrators, DevOps engineers, security professionals and anyone interested in network automation.

Requirements for Attendees

  • An internet connection is required. Attendees must come with a laptop with admin rights and the ability to SSH to a lab environment hosted in a public cloud.
  • Attendees should have working knowledge of using SSH and command line shell (BASH) as well as a conceptual understanding of linux system administration (how to use simple commands like cd, ls, mv, mkdir, etc).
  • Attendees should have working knowledge of at least one Linux text editor (nano, pico, vi/vim, zile, emacs) with which to write Ansible playbooks.
