A Day In the Streaming Life: Event-driven Architecture with
Quarkus, Kafka, and Kubernetes

September 23, 20209:00 AM - 10:00 AM(GMT-04:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)

Do you want to know how to allow apps to react in near real-time without compromise?

The real-world is event driven, responses to stimuli are automatic. Customers increasingly expect a near real-time experience within their application stack. With Event Data Architecture (EDA), we'll show you how organizations can quickly respond to incidents, preempt potential issues, identify trends, and provide better services to customers.

In this session, we'll examine building an event-driven application and tackle the most common stumbling blocks of EDA, including:

  • How and where for maintaining state.
  • How to handle transactions that span multiple services.
  • REST or Kafka (or something else).
  • Asynchronous testing.
