Configuring Server Email Transmission with Automation
Email is a key communication mechanism used by many applications and network services to report service and job status. Many of these applications use the server's centralized email service, provided by Postfix, to operate. However, the mail settings needed for the server to successfully transmit email usually must be customized for each organization.
In this webinar, you will learn how to configure a server's Postfix installation to submit all outbound emails to an email relay. Once you have learned how to manually implement these settings on a single server, you will learn how to use Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform to automate the configuration procedure as an Ansible Playbook, so that these settings can be quickly, reliably, and reproducibly deployed to many servers at the same time. This playbook will take advantage of the RHEL System Role for Postfix included in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8.
