Get hands on with Quarkus (quarkus.io) and experience how this new Kubernetes Native Java stack compares with the likes of Node.js and SpringBoot.

Quarkus is a Kubernetes Native Java stack crafted from the best of breed Java libraries and standards. Amazingly fast boot time, incredibly low memory offering near instant scale up and high density memory utilization in container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.

All within a browser, this 3 hour lab will have you coding, building, testing, debugging and deploying apps utilising CDI, JPA, data streaming, metrics. You will discover how Quarkus can make your development of cloud native apps faster and more productive.

Live Coding Mode and making changes on the fly during development
Deployment options with Java and native binaries
Quarkus configuration and Implementing Kubernetes health checks
