Control Cloud Native Apps with Service Mesh is a half-day workshop designed to introduce participants to Istio, Jaeger, and Kiali.
In this workshop, presented by Red Hat and Astellent, a premier partner, you will learn how to prevent cascading failures in a distributed environment, how to detect misbehaving services, and how to avoid having to implement resiliency and monitoring in your business logic.
Technologies like containers and container orchestration platforms like OpenShift solve the deployment of our distributed applications quite well, but some challenges remain with distributed apps:
Another challenge is each runtime and language addresses these with different libraries and frameworks, and in some cases there may be no implementation of a particular library for your chosen language or runtime.
In this workshop, we’ll explore how to use the OpenShift Service Mesh. Service Mesh is based on the Istio open source project. It enables a much more robust, reliable, and resilient application in the fact of the new world of dynamic distributed applications.
We’ll use Zoom platform for running this live workshop. To provide individual attention, we’ll limit the number of attendees to 20. The link and details for this workshop will be provided prior to the workshop.
Please note that this will be a hands-on workshop. You need to bring your laptop that is not constrained by your corporate security services, can access external web services, and which you can administer to install required applications.
