About the event:
The OpenShift Showcase is a unique full-day experience discussing & demonstrating how organizations rely on Red Hat® OpenShift® and related offerings to develop and modernize applications on a hybrid cloud platform. A single-day experience, the Showcase will have engaging and prescriptive tracks for Business Leaders, operations practitioners, and developers alike.
This event consists of a modular agenda providing value to individuals of a wide range of roles and maturity levels with Red Hat OpenShift. For example, while the audience for this workshop is developers and operators, there are sessions for decision makers in the business leader track, that cover high-level methodologies, industry best practices, and engagement strategies.
What you’ll learn and experience at the Showcase:
- Learn the fundamentals of operating OpenShift clusters: Application Storage, Application Networking, Authentication
- Learn how to design and build environments for developers
- Learn how to deploy and manage multiple clusters with advanced cluster management
- Join the developer track to experience the Red Hat® OpenShift® Island Adventure, a hands-on lab designed to unravel challenges. This friendly competition allows your skills shine and is tailored to ignite your passion for learning and innovation.
- Decision makers will learn application modernization strategies, techniques, and industry best practices through the Business Leader track.
- Learn from our technical experts about best practices for Financial Services organizations; these lessons can be leveraged across industries.

Know before you go:
Note: Please bring your laptop to the event to complete the hands-on labs.
For the Operations Track, Infrastructure and operations focused participants should have knowledge of systems administration, storage, and operations with these suggested tools or skills:
- Competency on the LinuxⓇ command line.
- A general understanding of Linux containers (e.g., Docker, CRI-O, etc.).
- A general understanding of authentication (e.g., LDAP/AD).
- A laptop computer running Windows, MacOS, or Linux with the Firefox or Chrome web browser.
For the Developer Track, Application- and developer-focused participants are expected to be familiar with general application development concepts and have basic skills in these areas:
- Basic understanding of containers
- Basic programming skills (Java, Python)
- Basic understanding of Git (push code to a repository)
