DevOps for Data Science on OpenShift
With Kubernetes and the rapid maturation of AI/ML tools on containers, the ways of working for Data Scientists can improve dramatically by collaborating in an agile, reproducible environment. This is all possible by applying the practices of DevOps to Data Science in your organization.
A great first step for DevOps for Data Science is to put in place an end-to-end workflow for AI/ML on OpenShift. This workflow would cater not only to Data Scientists, but Data Engineers and Operators of AI/ML tools and services. Open Data Hub is one open source solution that helps your organization rapidly adopt such a workflow.
Another way to provide DevOps for Data Science is to implement the automated building and deployment of AI/ML services onto OpenShift directly from your models. This allows for agility and rapid iteration which is a primary benefit of the DevOps culture. Once again, Open Data Hub is one such solution that can get you started by quickly deploying your models.
Finally, there is the collaboration aspect of Data Science. By deploying JupyterHub to OpenShift, you are able to share not only notebooks, but the underlying container images that make those notebooks work in a reproducible manner.
Join us!
Come learn more about how DevOps for Data Science on OpenShift will influence the practices and behaviors of your data science teams. With the plethora of mature open source tools available, it’s time to get started!
Bonus Content
We will demonstrate how Open Data Hub can be setup on OpenShift and do a walkthrough of some key features.
