OVERVIEW
The Modern application development roadshow is a unique, hands-on experience that showcases how organizations rely on Red Hat® OpenShift® and related offerings to develop and modernize applications on a hybrid cloud platform. A single-day experience, the workshop caters to both developer and operations practitioners with tailored hands-on labs that explore modern tooling, techniques, and architectures.
This roadshow comprises a modular agenda providing value to individuals of a wide range of roles and maturity levels with Red Hat OpenShift. While the audience for this workshop is developers and operators, there are workshops for IT decision makers in the Business Leader track that cover high-level methodologies, industry best practices, and engagement strategies.
What you’ll learn and experience:
- Developer track: Developers will learn to assess and analyze an application for modernization, experience a hands-on overview of application services, with particular emphasis on API management and integration, create intelligent applications powered by Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML) algorithms, and accelerate software development with Red Hat Developer Hub®. Participants should be familiar with general application development concepts and have basic skills in these areas:
- Java programming.
- Apache Maven build tool.
- Linux command line and Red Hat OpenShift command line.
- Linux containers and Docker.
- Entry-level Kubernetes concepts.
- Operations track: Infrastructure and operations professionals will learn how design and build environments for developers, deploy and manage multiple clusters with advanced cluster management, discover security vulnerabilities across multi-cluster deployment and enforce security policies to keep applications from being run. Participants should have knowledge of systems administration, storage, and operations.
