Ansible Network Automation Workshop
The Ansible Network Automation Workshop is a 90 minute, hands-on workshop covering Ansible Automation with respect to routers and switches. Attendees will learn how to pull facts from devices, build templated network configurations, and apply these concepts at scale with Ansible Automation Platform. You’ll put it all together by exploring the job templates, surveys, access controls and more.
Note: In this workshop, attendees will be managing network devices, specifically a Cisco IOS-XE router.
Who is this workshop best for?
This workshop is intended as an introductory course for Ansible Network Automation. The intended audience is someone who has limited or no exposure to writing Ansible Playbooks or using Ansible Automation Platform.

- Introduction to Network Automation
- Network automation basics - First playbook: Learn the fundamentals of Red Hat® Ansible Automation Platform for network automation using ansible-navigator.
- Network automation - Backup and restore: Learn how to automate network configurations and backups using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
- Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform for network administrators: Simplify network administration and operations using Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
Attendee Prerequisites
- A basic understanding of working with Linux® systems
- A basic understanding of Visual Studio Code. [Available for MacOS, Windows and Linux]
- Attendees must use a laptop with ADMIN rights and the ability to SSH to a lab environment hosted in a public cloud.
- Must use a laptop with Chrome 73+, Firefox 60+, Edge 40+, or Safari 12+installed.
Event Driven Automation Workshop
As a part of Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform, Event-Driven Ansible can process events containing discrete intelligence about conditions in the IT environment, determine the appropriate response to the event, then execute automated actions to address or remediate the event. This workshop will demonstrate Event-Driven Ansible and how it provides the event-handling capability needed to automate time-consuming tasks and respond to changing conditions in any IT domain.

Who is this workshop best for?
Advanced Ansible users and SRE's will benefit from this workshop. The workshop introduces the domain of observability and automation.
