ABSTRACTS & SPEAKERS

Red Hat Developer Hub (RHDH) Overview

During this portion of the event, we will explore how to improve the productivity and efficiency of development teams with Red Hat Developer Hub, an Internal Developer Portal (IDP) based on open source Backstage to simplify developer onboarding, learning, technical document management, self-service, and catalog.

Speaker: Ralph Nasrallah, Associate Principal Specialist Solution Architect, Red Hat - Ralph is an Associate Principal Solution Architect at Red Hat Canada, with over 15 years of expertise in Integration, Business Process Automation, Cloud-Native Development, and Solutions Architecture. As an OpenShift Specialist, Ralph guides clients through their DevSecOps transformation, providing strategic support and innovative solutions.

Regrets from the Field - An Anecdotal Reflection to Structuring Ansible Automation Platform Projects Better

It is easy to read whitepapers and take aspirations from the best when you are deploying your first AAP to share with your team, deploying the first Ansible playbook and role in /var/lib/awx/projects/MyAwesomeAAPProject when regret sets in and you frantically try to reel in the monster you unleashed to your IT team. During this time, we will walk through the what-ifs of project structure, code management and some of the complexities of job templates (with a splash of CI/CD) to help you avoid common pitfalls.

Speaker: Alan Lok, Articq - Alan has started his Linux journey with RedHat 6.0 while working as a software developer inside a marketing team under the watchful eyes of the *NIX sysadmins. He progressed into managing developers and DevOps engineers in various startups before lending his experiences as a professional services consultant in the areas of public cloud and IaC. From batch files, to shell scripts and Ansible, Alan has always tried to automate his way in every organization he worked at.
