As a part of Red Hat® Ansible® Automation Platform, Event-Driven Ansible can process events containing discrete intelligence about conditions in the IT environment, determine the appropriate response to the event, then execute automated actions to address or remediate the event. During this event, we will demonstrate Event-Driven Ansible and how it provides the event-handling capability needed to automate time-consuming tasks and respond to changing conditions in any IT domain.
Workshop
During the workshop portion of the event, we will walk through the basics of EDA (Event-Driven Ansible) covering fundamentals such as sources, rules, and actions and the corresponding technology and implementation through Ansible Rulebook CLI, rulebooks, source plugins, and EDA content collections.
This workshop requires students to have beginner-level knowledge of command-line Ansible, Visual Studio Code, and Git.
Hands-on Lab
Join this workshop to learn how Event-Driven Ansible can help you automate a variety of tasks across your IT environment as well as expand your skill set and grasp the full potential of automation in IT Service Management.
Red Hat User Group (RHUG)
Further your understanding of Event-Driven Ansible with your local Red Hat User Group (RHUG) community and Red Hat expert, Walter Bentley. During this portion of the event, Walter will expand on the Ansible vision for achieving mission-critical automation in your organization. You'll hear why it matters now more than ever and how to shift your approach to prepare the AI revolution and beyond.
Who is this event best for?
Advanced Ansible users and SRE's will benefit from this workshop and RHUG as it will introduce the domain of observability and automation, and cover common scenarios and topics best suited for IT infrastructure engineers or IT managers looking to integrate their existing ITSM workflows into automated processes that can help them reduce their mean time to resolution (MTTR).
