EVENT MENU

OVERVIEW

Red Hat® User Group (RHUG) events offer a unique opportunity for Red Hat technology users to gather and explore solutions to IT challenges with subject matter experts & peers.

Why does every third-party application tell you to disable SELinux immediately? Why are admins so afraid of using SELinux? Let's set the context. Users are afraid of SELinux, and it's causing them to miss out on one of the best parts of Linux®. Join your RHUG community for a session on how to leverage SELinux for advanced security functionality to combat malicious activities with your files and services.

In this session, we'll go over:

  • The benefits of SELinux and why you should keep it enabled
  • The different modes of SELinux
  • File contexts, labels, and permissions
  • Using logs to find SELinux errors
  • How to automate the entire setup
