Ansible Automation Platform for Red Hat Enterprise Linux technical workshop Ansible Windows Automation workshop

Are you new to Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform? This is the perfect opportunity for you to dive into the fundamentals of command line activities and discover how to leverage Ansible for your automation needs. Throughout this workshop, you'll gain hands-on experience as we guide you through writing your first Ansible Playbook, working with Jinja templates, and implementing higher-level Ansible roles.

Who is this workshop best for?

This workshop is for those who want to learn the basics of Ansible Automation Platform, understand how it works, and how it can be used to automate basic tasks. In addition, we’ll differentiate between the upstream Ansibl open source project and Ansible Automation Platform.

If you have always wanted to know more about Ansible Automation Platform, this workshop is for you.

In this instructor-led workshop, participants learn the basics of Ansible Automation and how they can use Ansible with Windows Hosts. Attendees will get hands-on experience with the fundamentals of Ansible and will create and edit Ansible Playbooks which will be used in an Automation controller.

This workshop will expose participants to working with the Ansible Automation Platform while automating tasks on a Windows host. 

Tasks in this lab include:

Configuring Credentials and Inventories
Running Ad-hoc commands
Creating and using basic playbooks
Using advanced Playbook methodologies 
Creating and using Ansible Roles

This workshop is geared toward Windows administrators, cloud administrators, DevOps engineers, security professionals, and anyone interested in Windows automation.

Attendee Prerequisites:

There is no student prep work required prior to the workshop.

  • All automation for this workshop is executed from Automation Controller and there are minimal client requirements for students to interact with the workshop such that students only need a compatible browser.
  • Must bring/use a laptop with Chrome 73+, Firefox 60+, Edge 40+, or Safari 12+installed.
  • A basic understanding of Visual Studio Code. [Available for MacOS, Windows and Linux]
