Using Digital Process Automation Technology to Build Modern Applications

IT organizations are rapidly adopting new technologies like containers and microservices architectures. But this next generation of applications must also incorporate business rules and processes, and the development platforms need a better way to empower both business users and IT to contribute their knowledge.

Come join Red Hat and Vizuri for an interactive session on leveraging the latest open source technologies to automate business processes and decisions to build modern cloud-native applications.

What you will learn

During this hands-on workshop, we will cover:

Demonstrations:
  • Automating the insurance underwriting process through decision automation as well as process automation using Red Hat Process Automation Manager (PAM)
  • Applying auto risk calculations to produce an automatic approve/deny decision
  • Escalating tasks through the use of timers and events
  • Using milestones in an ad-hoc case management process flow
Hands on labs:
  • Creating models of business processes and decisions using standard notations such as BPMN
  • Making use of script, user and rule tasks to drive process and decision automation
  • Developing a domain model to drive decision authoring using multiple rule authoring formats
  • Building, deploying and testing a case management process using the generic KIE API interface
