Maarten Vandeperre is an experienced software professional who joined Red Hat in 2023 as an Appdev Specialized Solutions Architect (recently AI as well). Maarten's primary focus is on application development, with a particular emphasis on leveraging Red Hat's OpenShift platform from a developer's perspective. One of Maarten's true passions lies in advocating for "clean architecture" as a guiding principle in software development. He firmly believes in the importance of designing software systems that are modular, maintainable, and scalable. As part of his dedication to this approach, Maarten strives to map these principles to infrastructure solutions, ensuring that the underlying technology supports and enhances the overall architecture.

I have a long history in the IT industry, starting in storage and fiber channel networking, moving onto HCI and virtualization, cloud, and finally Kubernetes. I currently work in the Kasten business unit within Veeam and am focused on driving data protection for native Kubernetes applications. I live in Birmingham, UK with my partner and 3 greyhounds.

Sergio Perez is a Solution Architect at NVIDIA specialised in Conversational AI. He has experience in optimising training and inference of LLMs, building RAG systems and working with companies in different sectors to leverage AI. His area of expertise at NVIDIA is quantisation and inference serving. Previously he worked as AI engineer at Graphcore and Amazon, and got a PhD in computational fluid dynamics from Imperial College London.
