COMPLIMENTARY VIRTUAL TRAINING

Event-Driven Ansible Technical Webinar

Friday, 24 May 2024 | 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM AEST

OVERVIEW

OpenShift

As a part of Red Hat® Ansible® Automation Platform, Event-Driven Ansible can process events containing discrete intelligence about conditions in the IT environment, determine the appropriate response to the event, then execute automated actions to address or remediate the event. This webinar will demonstrate Event-Driven Ansible and how it provides the event-handling capability needed to automate time-consuming tasks and respond to changing conditions in any IT domain.

During this webinar, we will walk through the basics of EDA (Event-Driven Ansible) covering fundamentals such as sources, rules, and actions and the corresponding technology and implementation through Ansible Rulebook CLI, rulebooks, source plugins, and EDA content collections. This webinar requires students to have beginner-level knowledge of command-line Ansible, Visual Studio Code, and Git.

Agenda

  • Why organizations should leverage Event-Driven Ansible
  • Introduction into EDA concepts and use cases
  • Introduction into Rulebooks and Rulebook operation
  • Ansible-rulebook (cli-tool)
  • EDA Controller (webUI for Event-Driven Ansible)

Who is this webinar best for?

Advanced Ansible users and SRE's will benefit from this webinar as it will introduce the domain of observability and automation. This webinar will also cover common scenarios and topics best suited for IT infrastructure engineers or IT managers looking to integrate their existing ITSM workflows into automated processes that can help them reduce their mean time to resolution (MTTR).
